Well today is a read letter day. After months of dithering and digesting all the advice given, I finally fitted a new fuel pump - this being supplied by Glencoe as suggested by Ivormog ( thanks!). The pump is from a Mk 1 Ford Focus and is a direct fitment so not too difficult to fit into the tank assembly. My mog started first turn of the key. Tomorrow I will be driving out of the garage with a massive grin on my face! Thanks to everyone who offered me advice - I got there in the end!!! Cheers, Brendan.
