Difference being that in selling your house you are taking part in a classical 'capitalist' fragmented market where supply and demand rules apply ... the energy market is a 'corporatist' one where a small number of large corporations can dictate prices to a captive market .... and operate a de-facto or overt cartel (OPEC anyone?) ... when they are making record profits while consumers are squeezed there will be justifiable calls for regulation/control/taxation.
