I have been looking into an adapter cable so that the 18-pin TSM could be used instead of a 12-pin TSM and was kindly lent a 12-pin one to do some tests. Been very busy at work and as this is only a hobby it has had to go down the priority list I am sorry to say. The 12-pin TSM does not provide the flashing cadence for the indicators; that job is done by a separate flasher unit. So if the 18-pin TSM is fitted, then there 'may' be a problem as the 18 flashes on and off and that could upset the external flasher unit. RS do not have any stock of the connectors for an adapter cable for a while (back-order mode) so I have not tried to build a cable. The only dodgy part of the 12-pin design is the VSS input which can cause a problem. A simple remedy is to pull that wire off the 12-pin TSM and then the ECU should be happy. Autocancel will be 'unreliable' is the only downside.
