For personal use I can only perceive a BEV that can sit on a home charger as a viable shopping trolly, or short distance commuter, where the daily range is less than can be recharged overnight. Going on holidays with one is for me unthinkable.
That has been our experience. Unless you have a Musk Float, our experience of the UK charging network is:
1. Sparse
2. Unreliable
3. More expensive than petrol
