Manufacturers face huge penalties if they don't meet the government targets.
Unless this changes we will have no choice but to become a nation of EV owners.
I have such a conflicted view of this. Part of me says that unless goals are set to improve things inertia means progress will be slow and we need to reduce our impact on the toxicity of the planet (said Mr V8, oops)
Yet the manner in which things are being done (chicken before the egg etc for charging and resolution of BEV) whilst it drives us into the arms of China removing even more jobs from Europe, what to do?
