I really don't see us ever becoming a nation of EV owners. Even with current (Ha!) levels of adoption there are issues. I'm very happy to let the pioneers push the product, as they did with Betamax, as I did with 8 Tracks, as my "must have" mate did with plasma TV.
It's all good, but the future is always unpredictable.
The mandatory sales of EV's is still in place and due to increase year on year.
Manufacturers face huge penalties if they don't meet the government targets.
Unless this changes we will have no choice but to become a nation of EV owners.
