Mine will wet sump a lot of oil, 1.5 to 2 litres, given the chance, and that's with 20/50 oil. These days I tend to just pop off the plug leads to stop it firing and crank it over on the starter to get a decent amount of oil back up to the tank then reconnect the lleads and fire it up in anger. Before anyone comments, I'm running an Emerald ECU so can't do the crank it over on the starter with the throttle open trick which stops it firing on the standard ECU.
