so the "sump issue" the x wedge has an external sump.... fine and dandy!... But the X-wedge is not a modern engine. Oil from the external sump leaks past the seals and ends up in the bottom of the x-wedge (mine fills up with at least 1.5 quarts). when you start the engine this gets forced up through the vent system into the intake (and also back to the external sump.
REALLY stupid way to configure an engine... but heck! it is a MORGAN
Mine no longer does that, it just pumps the oil back into the tank.
