I had a cracked screen before Christmas on my 1 year old 4/4 sport top left corner to 12" in at bottom of screen - just been replaced at the factory - but paid for by me & recovered cost less excess from insurance(no quibble - cheque by return of post - well done Headley!) The works said the crack was caused by taking the hood off in the wrong order - (old style 9 pin hood) - apparently should be taken off from the rear first and then off the screen. I have tensioners on mine - both should be released before removing any of the hood. Warranty would not cover because of age of car(14 Months) and mileage done - 6K. I hope that the problem does not recur now that I have been told how to remove the hood. But still feel that the tensioners have resulted in a slacker fit than the original hood fittings and therefore should not put the screen under enough pressure to crack the screen. This seems a very common problem and maybe something the works needs to look into - I notice that in the factory some new Mogs have a more substantial pillar now being fitted to some classic models.
