I LOVE this car.... so much so I am moving away from my recently acquired Plus 4 to getting myself into the 4/4 80th! love Would have been a pipe dream to have kept both... however!

I would love to know who on here owns a 4/4 80th then! Thoughts, feelings, joy! Feedback? I love all 3 colour options but the car I have settled on is the classic red.

I think the period features are brilliant. Brass knock-off wheel nuts, brass rad cover, brass dial surrounds, the wheels, the interior, the simplicity... the lightness! All have got me hooked!

Delivery in May... counting the days until collection from AW!

If anyone wants, or knows of someone who is after an amazing Plus 4, here is mine now for sale at AW's!

https://allonwhite.co.uk/used-morgan-cars-for-sale-uk/2018-morgan-plus-4-metallic-blue-st1161

Lovely car... if I won the Lottery I WOULD keep both.

A good deal can be done as well!

Cheers all!

Pete.

Nothing”kicks off” on TM, speaking for myself, I rarely post any facts, only opinions and even those I change more often than my socks so it’s all nonsense really.
A few of you even comment on the virility of other men and how a modest car might actually improve performance, I’m not interested in other men so I wouldn’t know but if you’re worried about those sort of things, buying this car will make you enjoy what you have a little more.😁

Every Morgan owner will no doubt tell you that their car is the sweet spot in a 100 and odd years of Morgan ‘development’….😆
A particular engine and gearbox combination, a certain tyre, body width or suspension modification……. is beyond question the best thing ever to come out of Malvern.
And…… who….. can argue with them, they’re all perfectly imperfect….. equally good and bad……. frustrating and amazing….😖🤪

Personally I’m a 4/4 kind of bloke…. I’ve had 9…🤣🤣, I have had 3 +4’s as well just to balance things up, but having driven an example of pretty well everything that has come out of the factory since the 80’s I know what I like……!🤷🏼‍♂️
There is without doubt a Morgan for everyone (daft enough to want a Morgan), they’re all a bit different and usually have been personalised to perfection buy a succession of enthusiastic owners…..
I was fortunate to be reunited with my car, a car I had built in 07…. it’s not perfect…. but it’s bloody close…….🤣🤣

Craig………. buy another one…….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🫵🏻🫵🏻🫵🏻😁

Like many owners, I swopped the plastic cased mirror for a small stainless bodied version, it looks far nicer and doesn’t get in the way.

I still have the standard side mirrors, they work well once they’ve been altered.

Summer begins today, the third for my Morgan, at the end of which will be its first MOT.

Whinnyfold ( pronounced, “ finniefal”), and Collieston.

I was waiting for this to kick off........!!!😂😂
To say a 4/4 is 'underpowered' is totally missing the point.......🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m fairly sure the 80th era of 4/4 is the same width inside as the wider winged models, ie, barely any room. CX cars are amazing by comparison, both chassis and interior space, Revolutions in Perth kindly gave me a quick shot in one, maybe one day.

Totally unrelated, but here’s some pictures of the Revolutions visit, nice motorcycles too for those interested.

I would have to look it up again, but the 4/4 continued after 1997 with the narrow chassis and long doors. Can't remember the exact year it changed but the 4/4 Sport of the 08 era was the same chassis as the Roadster.

1997 Mogans spanned the changes which were not implemented as a big bang. So early cars will be short door. Late cars will have 'all' the changes. Those mid year will have some but not all. That's how it was rolled out. No master plan.
