Eventually MMC will have to evolve in line with legislation, selling sufficient numbers of low emissions cars leading to low cost end cars with low emissions to give sales.
Leaving room for top end beasts.

It is these that small eco friendly engines would be easier to match with by buying in ready made versions.
Big engined cars would still be feasible though but in numbers to match low emissions cars to conform with legislation.
An electric Morgan is not out of the picture...there is a yellow one already!
It all depends on how the EU decide on the scale of manufacturer and compliance too. Will smaller manufacturers have more leeway?
