I get it Peter in my 2014 4/4. I used to get it in the roadster but not so badly. I wonder if it's to do with the curved bit that houses the reversing and fog lights.i keep meaning to fit something to the rack to see if I can change the airflow. It also coats the back of the headrests. It's definitely from the back as I once drive on a dry day through a deep roadwide puddle at 40 mph and the water just cascaded over me and the screen from behind. I must fit some mud flaps and maybe a solid plate on the bottom of the luggage rack would help? Nick
Nick, I have also though the same: on the Plus 8 the reversing and red rear fog lights are simply attached to the flat bottom of the car. Hence my suspicion that the way the vortex comes up from the rear is important.
I'd love to get the car in a full sized wind tunnel!
I also want to compare the back end of a Roadster with a Plus 8 and see if the angle of the rear deck differs in any way, also the distance from base of screen to the edge between rear deck and underside.
IF it can be shown that the lack of curved under-body spoiler/diffuser is significant this could be a job for Cain!
