I would appreciate some advice. I have a new +4 Gdi which I have brought back to U.K. for its first service. Of the problems I hoped to get fixed the one that I would appreciate advice on is re. the Speedo. It reads 10 % too slow i.e. Speedo reads 90 kph when actual speed just above 80. Discovery/Mini/ TR6 and even courtesy car are relatively accurate v. GPS so why is it that Morgan advise that the 10% difference is standard to all Morgans. Is this true or rubbish and am I being fobbed off? If you have a new Morgan is your speedometer accurate.
It is astonishing that when you pay £45,000 plus on a car the speedometer is so much more inaccurate than that of a car costing £15,000 and Morgan do not appear to care.
The trip from France was hell. I did not realise that at motorway speed conversation was impossible but that was a minor problem because it started to rain and we were both then too involved in trying to avoid the many leaks into the cabin to care about the noise.
Please don't get me wrong, I love the car and in future will endeavour to avoid motorways. However, I am disappointed that some relatively simple technologies like speedo accuracy on a new car is beyond Morgan
