Just checked out the legal position, thanks Jays, and it is 'a speedo must never show less than its actual speed and never more than 110% plus 6.25mph'
To be honest I would be happy with a 10% over figure but now find my car doesn't comply with UK and EU legislation because it always displays a speed below its actual speed. I chased the factory today and very politely pointed out that they appear to have supplied an illegal car and would be grateful if the problem could be resolved.
Half day closing on Friday but I live in hope that I may hear something next week.
