Stuck the new tyre on yesterday. Was pleasantly surprised at how straightforward it was doing the wheel change for the second time, but first "at home" with the full tool kit. Only took half an hour at a relaxed pace to get the wheel out and an hour start to finish to get it back on and back down off the axle stands. I won't include the time taken getting it to the tyre fitters, cleaning and polishing the wheel before re-fitting or trailing round to get some bearing retainer to hold the brake side wheel bearing in. The bearing fitted last summer had become loose in it's housing so had to be sorted out. The bearing itself was absolutely fine and no sign of visible fretting or cracking of the housing so just re-fitted it with some Loctite retainer. Getting it out next time it needs doing will be a pain no doubt.
As to whether the Dunlop is better/worse/can't tell the difference from the Blue Earth; that'll have to wait till I get a chance to drive it further than the "round the block to see what falls off" test run after finishing it last night.
