Who was responsible or accountable for the strategic decisions of the recent past may only emerge if accurate minutes of meetings are kept and eventually released. Family owned companies don't always maintain such an audit trail, so unless there's a book, we may never know. Even a book may not reflect the whole truth, but the tweet at the start of this thread does indicate that there remain tensions.
Some of the decisions and policy surrounding the M3W have been difficult to understand, but we'll never know how critical the flow of cash is, and has been for the survival of MMC or one of the associates. I think that the recent revelation about the ECU upgrade on the 3.7 Roadster being charged at 3kEuros is yet another reason not to buy one, either new or S/H.
