I'm not a fan of BMW, but when my work colleague had his 330d eat itself from the inside, what could have been a bill for £11,500 was only about £3000. BMW accepted that he had a full service history, so made a goodwill payment of the balance.
That was impressive, but I don't think they admit there's a problem with the design.
