Options for those who are deeply dissatisfied with the MSCC as it is are

1) leave.
2) get more involved and try to change it from the inside.
3) start your own club.

The club has to be run as a business, but perhaps that makes it too big and unwieldy to be able to respond quickly to change with the part time staff who volunteer to run it.
Were it a 'real' business the very best staff would be employed to run it, make the correct decisions and push it forward. I applaud those who do step up and do the job, it is the a thankless task. You can never do right in everyones eyes.

Perhaps the 21st century, hi tech way of doing things will gradually kill off the printed miscellany, noggins, lunch meetings and golf. TM'ers, who according to the age poll are the new old farts are gradually replacing the old, old farts.

Long live the old farts.
