Indeed there are some centres (no names, no pack drill, as is said) are reluctant to arrange anything that is more than about 80 miles on Sunday Morning finishing at a nice pub for a "Sunday Lunch...!!"
Drive, Dine & Sleep isn't my idea of a good day out

We went on this run.
We travelled down from Henley where we had been staging g with friends.
It was a great run and we really enjoyed it.
As a bonus it was a very sunny day.
We were made v welcome x all too.

So yes I too enjoy longer runs but sometimes a 60 miler fits the bill.

A bit rich when the run you organised here was a paltry 60 miles.

The brief form the Committee was to deliver what was delivered.
I have a couple of other runs, one is a nice 120 or so miles. But it seems that would be just too much.
