Apologies Adrian I'm not trying to denigrate anything that you, and or others, are doing to change and improve MSCC. Speedmog is also trying to start a virtual centre, though it does appear to target the racers in the community rather than your broader based virtual centre.
Nevertheless the point I was really making is that Peter has stood for high office in MSCC and put his personal reputation on the line and that more of us need to help support him to effect change, as otherwise I feel that MSCC is in danger of becoming moribund as the financial model cannot work going forward.
At least there does appear to be a growing feeling that something needs to be done, even if as you say the process is like trying to walk through treacle!
Speaking as one who has done many things for my fellow MSCC members over the years, I totally agree with "what can you do for the MSCC?"
It is a
membership club not a subscription organisation. The magazine is a collection of members articles not a professional written mag like MOG. If you are not happy then get writing... Plenty of people seem to have lots of time to spend writing criticism on here...
Ref SportsMog centre then sorry Brian I have clearly mis-communicated the fundamental reason..it is for people who want to use their Morgan primarily as a
SPORTS CAR not a dining taxi. Typically these are people who
MAY race, sprint or trial their car but
NOT exclusively. I have good support, certainly enough to gather the 10+ signatures required to establish the centre.
However you may have answered why I have had few on TM offer support for SportsMog. I must admit to being very disappointed by this given the level of negative comment being made.
