Agreed that getting wet is an occupational hazard with an M3W, but the Fairburn screen does deflect the rain better than the supplied slit screen. The water driving through the gap in the middle at the bottom can be stopped... I think....

You need a short length of closed cell foam for the gap. I bit of experimenting with width will close the gap & not be too noticeable. I find you need to be more scrupulous in keeping the Fairbourne screen clean
