this is the question to which as yet there is no answer....other than to note that Aeros, now in production for 16 years or so, all have EFI and seem not to share this problem. But then the fuel system is BMW/VDO, not Ford....

So there is something about the Ford bits and the way MMC uses them...although the Roadsters with EFI don't seem to do this. Strange. Is the pump different? DW may be able to tell, he has both.

Has anyone looked at an after market fuel pump that uses different connectors? Expensive, probably, but what price peace of mind?
