Might sound like a daft question ( probably is) but what does that pump do? Is it the pump which sends petrol from the tank to the injection system like the old SU pumps sending fuel to the carbs or is it a high pressure pump which powers the injection system?
Why is it not possible simply to substitute a non Ford pump? Is it built into the tank? Surely one of the tuning equipment supply outfits would have a generic pump that would work. It seems quite clear that the part concerned is unreliable and not just in Morgans.
