I have to say that I am in full agreement with the comments re. quality control. On my 3 year old +4, I have had to have the brake pipe that crosses the gear box X member re routed, I have had a total brake replacement , front and rear, a gear box out put shaft oil seal and other minor things.
The point has been well made that when these cars were considered cheap it wasn't such a problem but now we are in Porsche and Jaguar price ranges something has to be done.
I don't know if the company are ISO registered but that system allows that if you say you are going to produce rubbish and you can prove you do then you have succeeded.
However, with all that said, on a nice sunny day with everything in your favour, I bet none of us would swap our Moggies for anything else, well maybe a 275 GTB 4 cam, but that's about all.
