Question is “who at the factory is the stumbling block” imho it seems a very stupid attitude as pointed out on here, in most cases the changes are virtually a nil cost option, even a lower cost option.
Depends on what we are talking about.....better quality components or better quality build?
As far as the latter goes, Morgan have made a lot of effort in installing a QA system over the past few years when I was there. And I believe that in the main, the build quality has improved and become more consistent......for a hand built car.
Components is another matter. Replacing the cheap plastic radiator which is probably the main bone of contention, with an alloy one would be at a cost. And just how many fail? Things like better quality washer hoses is a no brainer and I am surprised that they haven’t replaced those years ago. I’m not sure what other components are second rate.
Someone mentioned replacing steel fasteners with stainless....that isn’t an industry norm and apart from the odd screw, there shouldn’t be a reason apart from aesthetics.
