IF they make it interact with the cruise control OK, but anything more is a dangerous intrusion and as Alastair has said, is a sure way of encouraging tailgating and frustration.

Tarka has none of this nonsense and as the rules cannot be retrospective I see new car sales falling further.

Essentially it is a first step in pushing acceptance of autonomous cars on the population. Brussels also wanted cars to have a breathalyser built in. That will be fun.
