I ended up in the Aero S2 for that very reason Peter. The Skyline GTR 33 had a wailing banshee exhaust note and rev cut at 8500rpm. The sound went right through you as you wound out second and third gears seemingly forever.

We got an 18 month lead time on the GTR35 when handing over the deposit at 9.02am on the day of release. We went off and bought the Aero S2 as a short term fun car. We then got a track day from Nissan as a sorry for the delay. My god it was freakishly fast but sounded wrong and did not connect like the old one. We cancelled, the Aero had a secret weapon that the GTR was never going to match. A lumpy V8 with sidepipes. No common sense was harmed in the achievement of this decision. The GTR would probably have been replaced three or four times in the 10 years we have had the S2 now. We could not even bring ourselves to sell it and protect the pension fund when we got the Coupe. Absolutely no common sense was harmed in the making of this decision either. You only get one life so whatever the parameters are you just have to make the right choices.

I trust the Plus6 is going to make a lot of new happy stories for others. It will take a bit of a knock to pull the V8 out from under me for a while.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
