I would be really interested in an Aero8 owners comparison to be honest though it would mean more I think.

As an Aero +8 owner I've been looking at the +6.
I know the engine and gearbox as I had a BMW M140i for a while. The engine response and gear change are both super, I wouldn't want a manual box.

But the "elephant in the corner" is the exhaust noise: it is is, well, modern. Yes, it will deliver a few pops and bangs on the overrun, but compared with the visceral roar of the V8 in the Plus 8 it is barely worth a second thought.

Our Plus 8 is now 5, with 40,000 miles on the clock.
I ask myself "what would the Plus 6 give me that the Plus 8 does not and what would I miss?".
Until I driver a Plus 6 I don't know, but it is going to have to be very impressive to get me to change.

I shall be very interested in your impressions Peter when you get the opportunity to drive one.
Like you the sound track plays a major role in the choice of a toy car, I tried to love a V6 Roadster but it just didn't cut it for me with a stiff clutch and little in the way of a sound track.
