I must say the area in question certainly is clean! My machine is new and this is what it looks like, with the canister oriented differently.
as you can see the canister vent does a strange plumbing turn, like a P-Trap and will collect crud thrown into it. Mine looks like a completely different cannister.
Is the line running down out of sight open to the air and is that the same thing as mine that makes the J turn?
BTW, what shocks are those?
