Seems to me that the key issue here is the mindset of the person buying the car. I have often read of people on here seeing the Morgans crude suspension and brakes and bdy design as things they want because it gives them a link with moroting in a different era albein with a reliable modern engine. I dont understand that mentality but it has to be a major factor in Morgan purchases - why would you buy something that drives and looks like a car from the 40s if you didnt want a car that drives and looks like something from the 40s?
With the new chassis you now have a modern car just clothed in an old style body with no modern facilities like leak proof hood and aerodynamics. Why would you want to spend say £60k on such a car when you could have a Boxter or an Alpine or a Lotus? Sure some people will do so just to be different. But no longer is driving it an 1940s experience.
