I went with a chain (13,300 lbf yield rating) because to retain the same direction of rotation I would have required 3 gears,shafts,ect. The gear setup would be more complex than required and noisy as well. Most Vehicle transfer cases I am familiar with utilize a roller chain,with more strands though , to transfer power. The T-Case I designed also allows me to mimic the original offset in the BMW Donor transmission making the Paralever basically a bolt on solution. The fatigue life using the components chosen should yield me many many years of maintenance free operation as well.
