It is rather simple: people are stupid. Most of them are. Like sheep.
All you need are some barking dogs and you can direct sheep any direction you want..
Its not the sheep who are dangerous - but watch the few barking dogs!

Totally agree.
I would add that, to better know the stupidity level of a country, you should look at the most viewed TV programs / prime time. And you'll realize how deep the brain damage is.
