I think that part of the problems are down to inaction by those who can do something about a problem. They bury their heads instead of tackling the problem.
I think that's the whole problem. If the people in power actually did something instead f kicking the can down the road then there wouldn't be the need to demonstrate in the first place.
I talk to a number of young people, most of whom are pretty politically active, and it's a very common view that without active protest, nothing ever changes. They see it as being a natural part of getting change to happen.
