Depending on access Rog, you might get away with cutting the hose shorter around the jubilee clip with a Stanley knife, then remove the clip, slot it along the length, peel it off, and shove the hose further on. You might only lose a few drips of coolant.

Access down there might be a bit of an issue but I will try that first out of interest. Draining it down is not a problem, I can walk under my car in the garage
Cutting the hose is probably the only option. I thought about getting the stainless tube out and bending it a little but it fouls the camshaft position sensor connector too so little scope to move it over.
