I don't think there will be any shortage of ICE cars to drive for donkey's years. They will fall out of fashion much faster than they'll wear out. It's petrol availability that I think might be a limiting factor, there will be far fewer petrol stations around in 15 years time. The range anxiety will be for ICE, not EVs
Your Morgan gives you that but not a new elec car which costs twice the price of it's ice equivalent and obligates me to contribute towards your purchase (gov grant).
The Mini Cooper SE is actually cheaper than the Mini Cooper S. Cheaper to buy, cheaper to run, more power and more torque.
As for subsidies, a few quid off the price of EVs is paltry compared to the £16bn p.a. we give to support the fossil fuel industries in tax breaks and funding, see:
