I agree Peter.
Basic transport would mean a perfectly solid Dacia. Recent ones are even beginning to look quite smart and feel solid. If my only interest was reliability and durability then sales of Dacia would improve 1000% overnight. When I had my first mortgage and one car I still managed to work out how to make it fun. R5 GT Turbo as a company car anyone?
Even the 12 month old Phaeton V10 as a primary car was less than a BMW 320i on a lease. It also cost less to run at 36mpg and VW service costs.
I am guessing pretty much everyone on this board is here because they aim to see it as more than transport.
