The 12-pin TSM does not provide the flashing cadence for the indicators; that job is done by a separate flasher unit. So if the 18-pin TSM is fitted, then there 'may' be a problem as the 18 flashes on and off and that could upset the external flasher unit.
Is it feasible to consider removing the separate flasher module and connecting the new adapter harness to the leads that connected to said flasher? Therefore we would be using the 18 pin module flasher cadence and removing another potential source of failure.
