Many of the changes are to simplify the build process, single lamps front and rear each side, one piece inner door mouldings etc. Others I understand are geared to easing acceptance into the US market.
I would immediately accept that from a mass manufacturer. But a small, fine craftsman's business that holds its construction procedure sacred, at least in its advertising, wants to save money on two holes in the front wing? If savings are the reason, then they are saving in the wrong places in my view.
