Yup, it restarted without a problem. Of course I don't remember if initially it wouldn't restart because the clutch was not depressed. Same as when it first cut out, it probably wasn't until I was at my final resting place (with the clutch depressed, I suppose) that it restarted. What I did between the initial cut out (which was not a stall as I was travelling along at about 80kmh) and then the coast, stop and laughter as my wife pushed the car along, I cannot say. Maybe I didn't try the clutch, but it usually it is instinctive to depress the clutch while sitting and trying to start a car. Let's see what happens next outing. Certainly not boring!!!
