Just picked my +4 up from Newtown Motors after 2 days for service and guarantee work. They repeated that 10 % out on speedometer is, as far as Morgan is concerned, acceptable. Legally that may be true (??) but quality wise for a £45/- car it is rubbish. Morgan's indifference to quality and customer relations is hard to ignore.
This topic, was to find out if Morgan can produce new cars with accurate speedos and so far the sample is small and about 50/50. So if there are any others out there with Gdi +4s with accurate, or otherwise, speedos please advise.
Lastly, one of the problems on the car was that at about 90 kph the odometer stopped working. Was advised that this had been fixed but, hay ho, it still does not work. One would have thought that repairs would have been checked before the car is returned to the customer. I must old fashioned
