I'm obviously new to the forum, and don't have a Morgan - yet! I'm looking at ordering a "regular" Plus 4, which I expect will see very regular, almost daily use.

There seems to be a lot of dislike for this ARP4 car - certainly not from me though. It was said a few pages back that this is maybe a car for a younger buyer - I'm going to stick my neck out and put myself in that group - but that aside, I think there are some very sound reasons why this is a great car.

For the money, I would for certainly take it over a Roadster. It seems to me a fantastic and balanced performance improvement over the Plus 4 - with a solid engine upgrade, suspension detail and fundamental improvements (without going so far as character removing wishbones), brake upgrades and general usability improvements.

I've driven a couple of Morgans, including a Roadster, and to be honest, I personally did not get on with the 3.7 Roadster at all.
The engine didn't seem to fit the car! The intrusion of the gearbox in the car meant it was cramped, and the pedals were so crushed up that the height difference of the brake/throttle was very poor. The gear lever was uncomfortably far back for me too.
The engine characteristic didn't suit me and how I like to drive. It had too much torque for the car, and frankly I didn't feel I could work the engine and engage with it, such was the performance available at low revs. I'm used to quick, torquey modern cars, where this kind of thing feels right (and the chassis can deal with it effortlessly). But in a sports car I think some effort to extract performance should be necessary and rewarded.

If I could afford the not-insubstantial cost difference, this would be at the very top of my list. I say well done Morgan, and hope this is a sign of continued evolution (but not revolution!!).

I fully admit though that I don't see why the mechanical upgrades are not available as an "ARP4" pack, though, with all other options and spec available from the regular options list. That would be ideal.
