The word at Silverstone is that the chassis is not galvanised and the red finish is much more than paint. I don't really have a problem with the finish although time will tell how resilient it will be. I don't think polished walnut is bling -it's been around too long! Stainless wires maybe, but they are the most practical of the finishes to keep on top of, unless you have alloys.
Limited edition is great marketing and Morgan have perfected the art. No argument there.
