I was told by someone involved in Morgan racing that rear disks wer not effective on a road car as they are used too lightly if properly balanced. He strongly recommended that I stayed with rear drums.
I would agree taken my personal needs into accouunt. On the other hand if someone drives spirited, the rear drums become hot, and as they are self adjusting - and when cooled down friction can occur because the adjustment was over the point and makes them too tight.
That's the reason why some track enthusiasts I know changed to discs, as realized first with the Babydoll in a small series.
