I spent Christmas Eve with a couple and their son who had been flooded out of their place in Kendal and have moved temporarily into a neighbouring village...they have been told probably six months before they can return scared I really hope you haven't been hit as badly. Thanks Jays

We are certainly more fortunate than many in Cumbria and many more in the centre of our village in Croston that are under 4 foot of water

Also heard from friends in Bingley Yorkshire who have had to evacuate with water up to their first floor level

Just hoping it subsides and we can get our electricity back

Other than that - we've plenty of food in, plenty of red wine and at least it's not cold
My youngest son Ralph is tooked up cosy in his Safe Space bed upstairs and my eldest son is staying over with friends in a neighbouring village as we have made his bedroom a bit of a store room

I'm more happy I don't have a arguementitive teenage son around

Still worried about the Morgan though - water and Morgans don't mix very well
