We live in a Lancashire village called Croston which is known for its flood risk but our house is a long way from the river and even at its worst in 1987 ( before we moved in ) our Road/ street / cul de sac wasn't affected

Tonight unfortunately we are now camped upstairs with no electricity ( sub station flooded ) having moved all our valuable stuff upstairs, marooned with the Ground Floor flooded

The worst part is the garage flooded first and the water is now up to the underside of the Morgan

We have been inundated with calls from friends offering help and the first thing they ask is how's the Morgan !

It's damp, I reply

For the first time I'm really not bothered about a leaky roof in the torrential rain


It's a crazy world. 116 houses lost to a bushfire here in Victoria and floods back in the old country!

Really feel for you......hope damage is kept to minimum possible.
