The vice chairman job is vacant at the AGM on rotation. It's a six year commitment. How many applicants will we get?
Well be lucky to get one. And yet MSCC is expected to carry on. It does so with fewer volunteers doing even more jobs.
If you don't like the "direction of travel" get involved.......

The VC job is a good one...BUT.....
The Chair position, which follows on from the Vice Chair, is 2 years of what I estimate is an average of 20 hours a week, including many weekends, and involves a lot of travel as well as a social content that ideally needs a partner's presence.
So, before you put yourself forward..and I really do hope someone does....ask yourself these questions:
Do you have the time to give?
Are you fit enough?
Does your partner also want to give up the time?
So, I'd say that the perfect person is in their mid/late 50s, retired and with a good pension or self employed and able to give up time.
Their CV should include people management, project management and team leadership skills.
It would help if they have no other real interests.
There must be someone.......
