Q: Why oh why does the MSCC need a Child Protection Officer for goodness sake?
A: Because the MSA requires it and, I was told, because the club has had 1 episode of a Member behaving in a way that made the Club Directors pleased that they had procedures and processes in place.
Q: Even organising a scenic run now demands notification and a 'license' by regulation.
A: Actually this is another MSA requirement, their insurance is supposed to protect the Club against the consequences of any claim by a third party, I understand.
So why is association with the
MSA association) important?
Because without it all of the Morgan Competitive events on track wouldn't be possible.
This is seen by many in the Club as important because it is a Sports Car Club with members who want to be involved with racing, hill climbing, auto-solos and so forth.
How many here agree?
