I assume your car is an unmodified, warts and all example of a Morgan?
My own car is about as far from 'original' as it's possible to get. Different engine, different suspension, revised gearbox, different final drive, the list is pretty much endless. I treat it as a giant Meccano set, I absolutely love playing about with it and see no reason at all why a 30 year-old car should be maintained in original condition. And yes, I do have a flat cap

So you don't want imperfection; you just don't want an out of the box solution? You seem to miss the point that Morgans are no longer a cheap car so should not require finishing off by the purchaser. Anyone who wants to fettle to their hearts contents as you do can buy a kit car.
To my mind it's a strange state of affairs when unusable performance and the symbol on the bonnet are considered desirable and command a premium!
Is this a dig at BMW powered Plus 8 and Aero owners?
So the performance of the BMW Plus 8 and Aero isn't unusable but the performance of cars with symbols on their bonnets is?
