Accidents happen when a series of events put two objects in the same space and time.
Both drivers could have avoided this. Until the Morgan crossed the central reservation, the Morgan driver controlled the outcome.
Once across the central reservation, the oncoming tin top of whatever persuasion controlled the outcome.
I suspect that the driver of the tin top was so focused on sounding the horn that they didn't have the opportunity to swerve, or maybe even brake.
Sounding the horn (instead of taking avoiding action) probably contributed to the collision.
Lets face it, holding the horn on, while braking hard and swerving in two or three seconds is a tough ask.
