The hood on My Lancia Flavia is the epitome of easy up/easy down and disappears in a recess totally, just like the look on the S5. Very simple design.
I think they were too caught up in the target of 100% watertight. I don't believe it is possible without a power hood which can ensure a very compressed tight seal. Having said that, it is more watertight than previous offerings but in hindsight I'd rather the older roof design.
The cockpit cover I have for the old Aero's still works though on the S5 (not quite as secure due to door handle changes). I recommend getting one for all 5's!
